Horton Hospital Project - Added May 2016

SMS recently carried out the supply and installation of the 3 no. Airdale chillers serving the hospital air handling units and the theatre rooms. We designed and installed the dual pressurisation unit, a new 2,000 litre stainless steel buffer vessel and selected Grundfoss inverter driven primary and secondary pump sets.

All the heavy duty steel pipe work was installed by our own coded welders using all Hattersley double regulating valves, PN16 DN100mm expansion bellows and measuring stations.

The chilled water pipe work and valves was insulated with foil faced phenolic foam sections, joints taped, to BS1710 standards.

The installation was carried out to NHS safety standards and time scales; SMS provided a full risk and method statement for this project and on completion we provided pressure test certificates and operational manuals.
